God writes the best love stories

Minsan, may isang binata.

Kuya Christian na utak ng Cord of Three Strands blog.

HD yun, mehn. Bwahaha.

God truly works in wonders. It’s just amazing how He answered Ate Ayi’s question, “Paano na kaya?”

Ako ang bahala.

Si Lord ang bahala. Nakita naming lahat ‘yon.

I’m really blessed to be under the mentoring of these couple. I may be single right now but I’ve learned a lot from them about relationships and waiting. Here are some of the valuable lessons they’ve imparted to me, directly or indirectly:

1. Be still. What if Ate Ayi, tired of glancing from a far back then, decided to make a move and let Kuya Christian know about her feelings? Mawiwindang siguro si Kuya Christian. Tatakbo palayo, nagsisigaw? Instead of being an inspiration, Ate Ayi could have been a distraction to his calling for long term missions. Just as taking out a pan of cake before it is even baked, it would have ruined everything.

2. Wait upon God. After Kuya Christian left for long term missions, what if Ate Ayi spent the next years of her life daydreaming about his return? What if every night, she would stay up late online, waiting for him to go online, too? She wouldn’t be the courageous and prayerful woman that she is now.  She would have just given up altogether and went for the first guy to show her affection.

3. As you wait, worship. Serving God is one way to worship Him. What if Ate Ayi didn’t surrender her heart to Jesus? She wouldn’t have understood His own heart and that is reaching out to the lost. She wouldn’t have invested her resources to gather women, I being one of them, needing spiritual guidance. She wouldn’t have grown deeper in her relationship with God as she continued to serve Him through her singing. And if she wasn’t singing on that Worship Night, Kuya Christian wouldn’t have laid his eyes upon her and wouldn’t even hear God speaking to his heart, “Christian, would you consider Ayi?”

Ecclesiastes 4:12

Though one may be overpowered,

two can defend themselves.

A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Hindi ito fairy tale, walang happily ever after. But this is something far greater than a magical Disney story. This is God’s story. And when God writes your love story, kakabugin Niya lahat ng box office hits ng Star Cinema, Viva, Regal, at Hollywood na pinagsama-sama. Pati Precious Hearts, taob. Si Stephenie Meyer, nganga.

God is the Author of love.

Just put God at the center of your life and walk at the center of His will, He will write you an equally beautiful love story that will unfold in His time, in His way.😉
